FAQs

What is Carlsbad Boot Camp for Women?

Carlsbad Boot Camp for Women is an outdoor fitness program designed to help you lose weight, strengthen your muscles, and help you gain confidence. Each camp session is four weeks of workout instruction, nutritional advice, and daily motivation provided by a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer. We meet 3-5 days per week (you will get better results the more often you attend), for one hour per day. We meet first thing in the morning so that your metabolism is boosted, exercise is complete and there is no time for excuses or distractions to get in the way.

What kind of results can I expect?

Keeping in mind that diet is integral to your success, you can expect to lose fat and inches while gaining muscle, endurance and energy. You can expect bragging rights knowing at 6:30 a.m. you have already busted your booty at Boot Camp!

Where is it held?

Camp is held at Aviara Oaks Middle School M-Th and at the beach on Fridays. Click here for a map.

When is it held?

Camp starts at 5:30 am sharp Monday-Friday. The class calendar can be found here.

Why should I sign up?

You will have fun while burning calories and blasting fat. No stumbling in to the gym without a plan, or worse, not working out at all! Just show up, give it all you've got and we'll show you exactly what to do. The hour will go by fast and before you know it, you'll be on your way and on with your day.

What if I'm new to exercise or it's been a while since I've laced up my tennis shoes?

You will be asked to work at YOUR INDIVIDUAL best. We modify, tailor or adapt every exercise to suit your fitness level. We expect you to work hard, but we will not push you past what you are physically able to do.

I've been working out for years, is boot camp for me?

If you've been doing the same thing year in and year out, it's time to shake-up to your routine. Boot Camp will challenge you in new and exciting ways. Everything we do can be made more challenging if a challenge is what you are after. We'd be more than happy to push you to new physical limits!

What is a typical day like at camp?

What makes boot camp fun is the diversity. Boot Camp is generally circuit style but we like to keep things interesting and there is no typical day. You'll be asked to go through a course of exercises that may include weights, jump rope, short-distance runs, body-weight exercises or stair climbing, for example. The entire hour will keep your heart pumping, helping you burn more calories.

Do I need to bring anything?

You'll need a yoga mat (or other exercise mat), 3, 5 or 8-pound hand weights, running shoes, towel and water. Dress in layers; at 5:30 a.m. it can be quite chilly but once your heart rate is elevated you'll likely want to shed a layer or two.

What happens if it rains?

We hold camp rain or shine. If it's raining so hard you can't see your foot in front of you, we'll consider canceling.

How much is my investment?

For the 4-week session the investment is as follows:

  • 5 days per week= $199
  • 4 days per week= $175
  • 3 days per week= $149
